The Houston Texans are gearing up for an important Week 7 matchup against the New York Giants at Reliant Stadium. The Texans have released their inactives list, which includes key players such as safeties Jalen Pitre and Reed Blankenship, running back David Montgomery, and tackle Blake Fisher, all of whom will miss the game due to injuries. The absence of these players could impact the Texans' performance as they face the NFC East-leading Giants, according to Texans News.
As the Texans prepare for the Giants, wide receiver Tank Dell is set to make a highly anticipated return to the field after a 673-day absence due to injury. Dell's comeback is expected to boost the Texans' offense, which has been bolstered by the stellar performance of quarterback C.J. Stroud. Stroud was recently named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week following his impressive display against the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he threw for 312 yards and three touchdowns, leading the Texans to a 34-31 victory in London (source).
In addition to player updates, the Texans have made several roster moves, including the activation of Tank Dell to the active roster and the elevation of cornerback Bryce Hall and linebacker Kenneth Murray from the practice squad for the upcoming game (source). These changes come as the Texans aim to improve their 1-5 record against the Giants, who have historically dominated the series.
Meanwhile, the Houston Rockets opened their NBA season with a thrilling victory over the Dallas Mavericks. The home opener at the Toyota Center saw standout performances from new additions Kevin Durant and Fred VanVleet, who played pivotal roles in securing the win.
