Ali Zokaee Expands Indigo Book Tour with 39 Confirmed 2026 Signings, High Sell-Through Rates

Author Ali Zokaee is broadening his presence in Canadian bookstores with a series of 39 confirmed book signing events at Indigo locations across the Greater Toronto Area from April through October 2026, with more appearances expected before year-end. The tour has already demonstrated notable reader interest, as the first 16 signings for which sales data were reported averaged more than 85 percent sell-through of ordered copies, with seven events reaching 100 percent.

One of the tour's standout moments occurred on July 25 at Indigo Yonge & Eglinton in Toronto, where every available copy of Useful Quotes: True, Practical But Not Pleasing sold out in under four and a half hours. Such success has encouraged Zokaee to continue returning to Indigo stores, including locations where he introduces his second book, The History Of Music And Cinema: Evaluation Part 1, as well as events featuring both titles.

For Zokaee, each appearance is more than a signing; it's an opportunity to meet readers personally and introduce his work to new communities. The tour began on April 4 at Indigo Eaton Centre and includes a schedule of upcoming events: April 8 at Indigo Mount Sinai Hospital, April 18 at Indigo Bay & Bloor, April 29 at Indigo TD Center, May 10 at Indigo Hillcrest Mall, May 16 at Indigo Scarborough Town Center, June 6 at Indigo Upper Canada Mall, June 13 at Indigo Well, June 14 at Indigo Markville, June 20 at Indigo Sherway Gardens, June 27 at Indigo Pickering Town Center, July 4 at Indigo Erin Mills Town Center, July 8 at Indigo TD Center (second book), July 11 at Indigo Oshawa Center, July 18 at Indigo Burlington Brant St., July 25 at Indigo Yonge & Eglinton, August 1 at Indigo Yonge Center, August 5 at Indigo Mount Sinai Hospital (second book), August 8 at Indigo Vega, August 12 at Indigo TD Center (both books), August 15 at Indigo Milton, August 22 at Indigo Oakville, August 23 at Indigo Eaton Center (second book), August 29 at Coles Beaches, September 5 at Indigo Erin Mills (second book), September 6 at Indigo Hillcrest (second book), September 12 at Indigo Yorkdale, September 13 at Indigo Sherway Gardens (second book), September 19 at Indigo Upper Canada Mall (second book), September 20 at Indigo Scarborough Town Center (second book), September 23 at Indigo TD Center (both books), September 26 at Indigo Oakville (second book), September 27 at Indigo Markville (second book), October 4 at Indigo Square One, October 10 at Indigo Burlington Guelph Line, October 14 at Indigo Mount Sinai Hospital (both books), October 17 at Indigo Fairview, October 24 at Indigo Oshawa (second book), and October 31 at Indigo Burlington Mapleview.

Zokaee expects to add several more appearances before the end of the year, bringing his 2026 total to approximately 40 bookstore events. He also plans to carry this momentum into 2027 with additional appearances for both titles. Beyond Canada, Zokaee has begun reaching out to Barnes & Noble locations in the United States as part of a longer-term expansion of his in-person bookstore presence.

“The success of the appearances has encouraged Ali to continue returning to Indigo stores throughout 2026,” according to a statement from his publisher. Both Useful Quotes: True, Practical But Not Pleasing and The History Of Music And Cinema: Evaluation Part 1 are available through major booksellers, including Indigo, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Waterstones.
