Andina Copper Corporation (TSX-V: ANDC | FSE: FIR | OTCQB: PMMCF) has reported outstanding drill intercepts from the second hole of its maiden diamond drilling program at the Cobrasco copper-molybdenum project in Choco, Colombia. The results from drillhole CDH004 follow recent high-grade intersections in hole CDH003, which returned 352 meters at 0.68% copper and 112 ppm molybdenum, including 118 meters at 1.17% copper and 193 ppm molybdenum, as reported on February 5, 2026.
Drillhole CDH004, completed to a depth of 900.25 meters, intersected multiple phases of porphyry and breccia mineralization. The interval from 579 to 686 meters contained the strongest copper grades, associated with intensely fractured magmatic-hydrothermal breccias, averaging 0.75% copper over 107 meters, including a peak two-meter assay of 1.70% copper. Sporadic gold mineralization up to 1.06 g/t was also encountered, suggesting a possible gold-rich intrusive phase within the broader Cobrasco system. The hole was oriented to the southwest to cross-cut the regional structural trend and test the mineralized system's geometry.
Additionally, drillhole CDH005, designed to expand the mineralized footprint to the southwest, has been completed to 934 meters and visually logged strong copper mineralization. Assays are pending. Step-out drillhole CDH006 is currently underway, targeting potential large extensions of the system. Andina Copper's President and CEO Joseph van den Elsen commented: “Following recent results from CDH003, the wide intercepts of high-grade copper mineralization reported in CDH004 further validate the size, scale and grade of the Cobrasco system. We see the potential for a globally significant deposit(s) at Cobrasco, and mobilization of a second drill rig to expedite rapid exploration and evaluation is planned.”
The Cobrasco project is located in the Choco region of Colombia, within the Andean porphyry belt. The company’s ongoing drilling aims to systematically expand the mineralized footprint, add volume to copper grade shells, and define lateral extents. Andina Copper also holds other discoveries in Argentina and Chile. For more details, the company's corporate presentation is available at Andina Copper Corporate Presentation. The scientific and technical information in this news release has been verified by Francisco Montes, a consultant of Andina Copper and a qualified person under NI 43-101. The company follows rigorous QAQC protocols, with samples sent to ALS Laboratories in Medellin and Lima for analysis. Mineralized intercepts for CDH004 applied a 0.2% copper cut-off with maximum dilution of 20 meters.
