Angkor Resources Drills Initial Program at Andong Bor Copper-Gold Target, Cambodia

Angkor Resources Corp. (TSXV: ANK, OTCQB: ANKOF) has completed the initial phase of its diamond drilling program at the Andong Bor copper-gold target in Cambodia, with promising results that underscore the project's potential. The company planned a total of 2,800 meters of drilling, and the first 1,099 meters were completed in mid-July on the Thmei North target, a one-square-kilometer copper anomaly. The program was strategically staged around Cambodia's seasons, with the remaining 1,700 meters to be drilled in early 2027 once fields are dry and crops harvested.

Dennis Ouellette, VP Exploration, commented on the results: “Two of the three holes drilled this year encountered good porphyry and skarn mineralization over the 400 meters each was drilled. Portions of skarn were especially well mineralized. The third hole contained a run of over 200 meters with continuous pyrite mineralization up to 20%.” These findings are significant as they confirm the presence of mineralization in the target area, supporting the company's exploration model.

The drilling orientation was designed to intersect mineralized beds more effectively. Previous drilling in 2025 indicated that the main structures controlling mineralization are north-northwest striking and steeply west dipping. Therefore, the holes at Thmei North were drilled to the east to maximize intersections with mineralized sedimentary rocks, alternating with intrusive feldspar porphyry diorite dikes. This approach is based on a modified copper porphyry model where the best mineralization occurs within potassic-altered sediments adjacent to these dikes.

Core from the completed 1,099 meters is currently being logged, and selected intervals will be cut, sampled, and sent for assays. The second phase of drilling at Thmei North and activity at Thmei South will continue in 2027, aiming to further delineate the resource.

The Andong Bor license covers 100.28 square kilometers across Oddar Meanchey and Banteay Meanchey provinces. This drilling program is part of Angkor's broader exploration efforts in Cambodia, where the company holds two mineral exploration licenses with multiple copper and gold prospects. Additionally, Angkor's energy subsidiary, EnerCam Resources Co., Ltd., is advancing oil and gas exploration on Block VIII, having completed 2D seismic in 2025 and identified multiple drill targets.

These developments are crucial for Cambodia's mining sector, as they could lead to the establishment of significant copper and gold resources, attracting further investment. The company's progress is also notable for the region's economic development. Angkor Resources is committed to responsible exploration, considering environmental and agricultural factors in its scheduling.
