AtlantisChain, a Layer-0 public blockchain claiming 3.6 million transactions per second and a 0.031-second block time, has reached a block height of over 1 billion blocks after just 373 days of operation. According to a screenshot captured on June 22, 2026, at 11:13 a.m. Pacific Time, AtlantisChain's block height stood at 1,000,000,034 blocks, far surpassing the block heights of Solana (406,286,685), BNB Smart Chain (105,763,073), and Ethereum (25,374,757). This milestone comes about seven months after the network was recognized as the world's fastest blockchain in November 2025, a distinction covered by over 400 media outlets across 51 countries.
AtlantisChain's rapid block production is attributed to its significantly shorter block time compared to other blockchains. The network's block height is now 246% of Solana's, 945% of BNB Smart Chain's, and 3,940% of Ethereum's, despite those networks having launched years earlier. AtlantisChain's developers say the blockchain has surpassed the block heights of all existing blockchains within 179 days of operation, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana.
The network employs a Proof of Light (PoL) consensus algorithm and claims to be quantum-resistant, making it immune to attacks from hackers and quantum computers. AtlantisChain's finality time of 0.031 seconds ensures that transactions are irreversible once submitted. The company has also launched over 100 ATC-20 standard tokens, including stablecoins pegged to gold, silver, oil, the Chinese yuan, the U.S. dollar, and the British pound.
AtlantisChain's achievements have drawn interest from government authorities looking to leverage the network for global trade, signaling a potential shift from traditional finance to a digital economy. The blockchain is built by an MIT-rooted development team in the United States and is protected by the USPTO-registered trademark Atlantis Coin®.
