Professionals in Southern California who need workspace for a few hours or a full day can now reserve it through Barrister Executive Suites' new Day Pass program. The offering gives non-tenants access to professional workspace without a monthly membership or long-term office lease, addressing a gap for workers whose schedules don't fit traditional office arrangements.
Barrister operates 23 locations across Southern California, including Beverly Hills, Brentwood, Burbank, Calabasas, Century City, Encino, Los Angeles International Airport, Manhattan Beach, Marina del Rey, Pasadena, San Diego, Santa Monica, Sherman Oaks, Torrance, Valencia, West Los Angeles, Westlake Village, and Woodland Hills. Day Pass availability varies by location, so advance reservations are recommended.
"Professionals' workdays don't always happen in one place," said Dorothy Bright, president and chief operating officer of Barrister Executive Suites. "A Day Pass gives people another option when they need a focused, professional place to work—whether they're between appointments, traveling for business, or looking for a change from working at home."
The program offers three pass options: a one-time pass for $50, a 5-day pass for $150, and a 10-day pass for $250. The tiered pricing is designed for professionals who need workspace occasionally, want to make productive use of time between appointments, or need a place to work while traveling. The multi-day options provide access for people whose schedules do not call for a full-time office.
Day Pass users can reserve workspace by the hour or for a full business day, depending on location and availability. Workspace configurations may include a private office, dedicated desk, or open workspace. The specific setup, furnishings, amenities, hours, and pricing can vary by location.
The program is designed for individual work, such as focused tasks, remote work, and calls. Day Pass space is not available for client meetings. Customers who need a room to meet with clients can inquire about Barrister's separate meeting-room options. Headsets are required when using audio or participating in calls.
To reserve, customers choose a convenient Barrister location, select the time they need, and contact the team to confirm availability and the workspace setup. Reservations are subject to availability, and Barrister recommends booking in advance. Day Passes are available to non-tenants only and are for single-person use. Cancellation charges may apply based on the amount of business-day notice provided. Customers should confirm the current price, availability, workspace type, and cancellation terms with their selected location.

The launch matters because it reflects the continued evolution of work patterns in which professionals—remote employees, traveling businesspeople, and independent workers—need flexible, professional workspace without committing to a lease. By opening its 23-location network to non-tenants on a per-day basis, Barrister is positioning itself to capture demand from workers who value flexibility and professional environments over permanent offices. The tiered pricing, starting at $50 for a single day, lowers the barrier to accessing a professional setting, while the geographic spread across major Southern California business hubs—from Beverly Hills to San Diego—gives users options near clients, airports, and home. The move also signals how executive suite operators are adapting their business models to serve a broader market beyond traditional tenants, potentially increasing utilization of their spaces and attracting new customers who may later convert to longer-term arrangements.
