Bestselling author Jody Sharpe has announced a new angel story for her Angel Stories channel on YouTube. In this real-life account, a woman named Judy recounts an encounter with an angel at an AA meeting, where a stranger delivered a message that her sister, struggling with drug abuse, would be okay. It took thirty years for Judy to share the story, which Sharpe describes as a tale of intervention and sisterly love. "We meet these angels so many times not knowing they are real angels at the time until they have gone from sight," Sharpe said. "They help us grow with whispers of encouragement and hope."
Sharpe also announced the release of the audiobook version of her bestselling novel, 20 Moon Road, An Angel's Tale, the fifth book in the Mystic Bay Series. More audiobooks are expected to follow. The author has been collecting angel stories for years, drawing from her own experiences and submissions from others, many of which find their way into her books. She is actively seeking more real-life angel stories, which can be submitted via her website at https://jodysharpe.com. Accepted stories may be featured on her YouTube channel and could appear in her next book.
Her latest book, New Angel In Town, is based on stories she has heard over the years, fictionalized and embedded throughout the narrative. Set in the mystical town of Mystic Bay, California, the story follows Angel Ron, a new angel tasked with ensuring that Evan, a boy in foster care, finds a forever home. Writer Noah Greenstreet is crafting a film about the townsfolk's angel encounters, but a bully threatens the town's harmony. Readers and reviewers have praised the book, with one Amazon reviewer calling it "a masterclass in child advocacy, true love, & angel-ology" and another noting that "the angel experiences shared in the book seem real and remind the reader of the meaning of love and how it can change lives." The book is available at Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/stores/Jody-Sharpe/author/B00DPL3382.
Sharpe's other works include To Catch an Angel, Town Of Angels, Town Of Angels Christmas, The Dog Who Came For Christmas, and Summer Of Angels, all set in the angel-filled world of Mystic Bay. She also writes children's books, such as When The Angel Sent Butterflies, which helps children understand that love and angelic presence can conquer fear. Her "Tuesdays With The Angels" blog features real-life angel encounters and is available at http://www.jodysharpe.com.
Sharpe's work has earned her recognition, including a 1st Place Winner of the 2023 National Association of Press Women's Communications Contest Award for Fiction and a spot in the "50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading" Book Awards. She recently announced two new screen treatments of her books: The Angel's Daughter and Town Of Angels Christmas. Through her books, YouTube channel, and website, Sharpe aims to share stories that inspire hope and highlight the presence of angels in everyday life.
