The American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division has selected Amin R. Yacoub, an immigration attorney with Bogin, Munns & Munns, P.A., as one of its 2026 On the Rise — Top 40 Young Lawyers. This annual award recognizes 40 ABA young lawyer members who demonstrate exceptional achievement, innovation, leadership, and service to the legal profession and their communities. Yacoub was honored for his work as a business immigration attorney, legal scholar, and advocate for individuals and businesses navigating the United States immigration system.
Based in Orlando, Yacoub represents clients nationwide in employment-based immigration matters, with a particular focus on EB-2 National Interest Waiver and EB-1 Extraordinary Ability petitions. His unique perspective comes from personally obtaining permanent residency through the National Interest Waiver process. This firsthand experience gives him an understanding of what is at stake for the professionals, entrepreneurs, physicians, scientists, engineers, researchers, and investors who seek his representation.
“Immigration cases are rarely just paperwork. They decide where someone builds a career, raises a family, and contributes their work,” said Yacoub. “I went through the National Interest Waiver process myself, so I know what my clients are carrying while they wait. This recognition belongs as much to them as it does to me.”

Yacoub is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and multiple federal courts. His professional work extends beyond client representation; he is an accomplished legal scholar whose published work has been cited by courts and scholars in the United States and internationally. He earned a Master of Laws in International Law from New York University School of Law, where he received a full-tuition scholarship and served as a graduate editor of the NYU Journal of International Law and Politics.
