Branicks Creditors Back Restructuring with 99% Vote, Extending Maturities to 2030

Branicks Group AG announced that holders of its 400 million euro corporate bond, originally due in 2026, voted 99% in favor of restructuring the company’s liabilities, according to a release distributed via NEWMEDIAWIRE. The vote also endorses the financial restructuring plan developed by the company, marking a critical milestone for the German real estate specialist as it seeks to stabilize its balance sheet.

The restructuring covers liabilities from bonds, promissory note loans, and registered bonds. Under the plan, a total of 375 million euros will have its maturity extended to September 30, 2030, while an additional 220 million euros will mature on September 30, 2028. The near-unanimous creditor support signals confidence in Branicks’ ability to execute its turnaround strategy. “Our creditors’ vote is a sign of confidence in our restructuring plan. With the time we've gained, we can now refocus fully on our business and use our resources and expertise to capitalize on opportunities in what remains a challenging market for us,” said Josef Schultheis, Chief Restructuring Officer at Branicks Group AG.

The implications of the vote are significant. By pushing out maturities, Branicks avoids immediate liquidity pressure and gains breathing room to operate its core business, which focuses on office and logistics real estate. The company manages properties with a market value of 10.1 billion euros as of June 30, 2026, across its Commercial Portfolio and Institutional Business segments. The extension allows management to concentrate on generating stable rental income and optimizing its portfolio rather than managing near-term debt repayments.

However, the restructuring is not yet complete. Following the creditors’ decision, several technical requirements for implementation still need to be clarified in the coming weeks. The goal is for the restructuring plan to take effect by the end of the 2026 fiscal year, or by March 31, 2027, at the latest. Failure to meet these technical conditions could delay the effective date, but the strong creditor backing reduces the likelihood of significant obstacles.

In a related governance move, Branicks also announced the termination, by mutual agreement, of consulting agreements with MDC Matthias Danne Consulting GmbH and BLACKLAKE Management Partners GmbH. The managing directors of these firms are Supervisory Board members Dr. Matthias Danne and Dr. Johannes Conradi, respectively. Both firms have notified the company that they have entered into service agreements with a company financed by the creditors. This separation simplifies the company’s advisory relationships and aligns with the restructuring process, as creditor-backed entities take on roles previously held by board-affiliated consultants.

Branicks Group AG, formerly DIC Asset AG, is a listed specialist for office and logistics real estate with over 25 years of experience. The company’s shares trade in the Prime Standard of the German Stock Exchange. For more details, visit www.branicks.com. The original release is available on www.newmediawire.com.
