Canamera Energy Metals Signs LOI to Option Ionic Clay Rare Earth Project in Brazil

Canamera Energy Metals Corp. (CSE: EMET) (OTCQB: EMETF) (FSE: 4LF0) announced it has signed a non-binding letter of intent (LOI) to acquire an option to earn a 100% interest in the Patos ionic clay rare earth element (REE) project in Minas Gerais, Brazil. The project covers approximately 15,979 hectares and represents a strategic addition to Canamera's growing portfolio of rare earth and critical metals assets across the Americas.

The agreement outlines a two-stage process. Initially, Canamera will conduct a due diligence auger drill program of up to 10 holes at a cost of C$20,000 to confirm the presence of ionic clay REE mineralization. If the results are favorable and the option is exercised, Canamera would be required to pay aggregate consideration of C$228,000 in cash and issue C$307,800 in common shares to the vendor. Additionally, a 2% net smelter return (NSR) royalty will be granted in favor of the vendor, with a buyback right allowing Canamera to reduce the royalty to 1% for a payment of C$228,000.

Ionic clay rare earth deposits are of particular interest due to their potential for low-cost extraction and processing. Brazil is recognized as a leading jurisdiction for such deposits, and the Patos project adds to Canamera's existing Brazilian assets, which include the Turvolândia and São Sepé REE projects. The company's broader portfolio also includes the Mantle project in British Columbia, the Garrow REE project in Northern Ontario, the Schryburt Lake REE and niobium project in Ontario, and the Iron Hills critical and rare earth project in Colorado, USA.

Canamera Energy Metals is focused on exploring underexplored regions with strong geological signatures and supportive jurisdictions. The company applies geochemical, geophysical, and geological datasets to generate and advance high-conviction, first-mover exploration targets. This strategy positions Canamera to potentially benefit from the growing demand for rare earth elements, which are essential for permanent magnets used in electric vehicles, wind turbines, and other clean energy technologies.
