Darren Ewert and Mike Dreher, founders of The Dream Team, have announced a new mentorship initiative designed to offer aspiring business owners more direct and structured support as they navigate the initial phases of online business. The initiative expands on the existing mentorship model by adding more touchpoints for new members during the early, often challenging period when momentum can easily stall.
This move underscores a continued focus on community over content. Instead of introducing another course or training module in the crowded online business education space, the program emphasizes increasing access to real guidance: more opportunities for new members to ask questions, receive direct feedback, and connect with peers facing similar challenges simultaneously.
"The first few months are where most people either build momentum or lose it," said Mike Dreher, co-founder. "This initiative is about making sure nobody gets stuck in that stretch without someone to turn to. We've seen how much of a difference it makes when someone has a specific person to ask, instead of trying to sort through generic advice on their own."
Darren Ewert explained that the initiative arose from consistent feedback within the community. "Our members have told us, over and over, that the mentorship relationship is what makes the difference for them, more than any tool or resource we've built. So we asked what more we could do specifically on that front, and this initiative is the answer to that question."
The Dream Team's mission has always centered on mentorship, built on the belief that aspiring entrepreneurs thrive with structured guidance and a supportive community, rather than trying to piece together a path from scattered and often contradictory information. This new initiative aims to reinforce that mission as the community grows beyond its original size.
The rollout includes expanded access to mentors for new members in their first several months, additional structured check-ins during onboarding, and more opportunities for peer-to-peer connection within the broader community. Ewert and Dreher say the goal is to ensure the mentorship experience scales alongside the community, rather than becoming diluted as more people join.
Looking ahead, Darren and Mike plan to continue expanding mentorship resources for aspiring business owners, with additional community investments expected in the coming months as the initiative unfolds. More information is available at darrenandmikedreamteam.com.
