DATAGROUP Wins Dataport User Help Desk Contract in Major Public Sector Deal

DATAGROUP has secured a significant contract to operate the User Help Desk for Dataport AoR, one of Germany's leading IT service providers for public administration, following a public bidding process. The five-year agreement, valued in the double-digit millions, underscores DATAGROUP's growing footprint in the public sector and its expertise in managing high-volume service operations.

Under the contract, DATAGROUP will handle first-level support for Dataport, managing up to 30,000 calls and 25,000 tickets monthly. This support is crucial for users in government agencies, administrative bodies, and public institutions, ensuring reliable operation of digital workstations and processes. The partnership aims to deliver scalable, high-quality service to meet the demanding requirements of public sector digitalization.

The procurement process emphasized flexibility, reliability, and consistent service quality. DATAGROUP's winning bid featured a structured, practical solution concept and an economically attractive offer, backed by its long-standing expertise in the public sector and experience operating complex service organizations. "The digitization of public administration requires high-performance IT structures and reliable background services," said Andreas Baresel, CEO of DATAGROUP. "Going forward, Dataport and we will be united by the shared mission of reliably supporting digital workplaces and administrative processes for numerous users."

Dataport's Chief Technology Officer, Andreas Reichel, highlighted the importance of finding a partner capable of handling high service volumes while maintaining quality and supporting technological development. "DATAGROUP impressed us with its experience in the public sector, its operational concept, and its clear focus on sustainable service quality," he said.

This contract marks a major win for DATAGROUP, adding a significant public sector client and reinforcing its reputation as a digitalization partner. The company, which employs approximately 4,000 people across Germany and the Netherlands, offers full-service IT support through its CORBOX product, targeting medium and large enterprises as well as public authorities. DATAGROUP's growth strategy includes organic expansion and acquisitions, with a focus on integrating new companies through its "buy and turn around" and "buy and build" approaches.
