Datavault AI Appoints Frank Deo as CTO of Acoustic Sciences Division Amid Spinout Evaluation

Datavault AI Inc. (NASDAQ: DVLT) has appointed Frank Deo as chief technology officer of its Acoustic Sciences Division, the company announced. Deo will oversee the division's engineering stack, standardize processes, and integrate artificial intelligence-assisted development tools to lower operating costs as the business scales. The appointment comes as Datavault AI evaluates a potential dividend spinout of the division into a stand-alone public company, subject to board approval and regulatory requirements.

Deo brings over 30 years of experience in media, data, and platform technologies. He previously served as vice president of new media technology at API Media, where he led product engineering for the ADIO platform. He is a Technical Emmy Award winner and holds 31 issued U.S. and international patents. In his new role, Deo will focus on unifying the division's engineering operations across acquired entities, simplifying architecture, and expanding the use of AI tools to improve efficiency.

The Acoustic Sciences Division develops technologies for spatial audio, data-over-sound signaling, and live-event systems, including ADIO, WiSA, Event Citadel, and API Media. The division's technologies are foundational for wireless, high-definition sound transmission and are protected by intellectual property covering audio timing, synchronization, and multi-channel interference cancellation.

Datavault AI's platform serves industries such as sports and entertainment, events, biotech, education, fintech, real estate, and healthcare. The company's Data Science division leverages Web 3.0 and high-performance computing for asset valuation and monetization. The proposed spinout of the Acoustic Sciences Division remains under evaluation, with no definitive agreement in place.
