Datavault AI (NASDAQ: DVLT), a provider of data monetization, credentialing, digital engagement and real-world asset tokenization technologies, announced a binding letter of intent to acquire all shares of CyberCatch, a cybersecurity company offering an AI-enabled platform for continuous compliance and cyber risk mitigation. The all-stock transaction is valued at approximately CAD $136.8 million. CyberCatch will operate as a Datavault AI subsidiary, with founder, Chairman and CEO Sai Huda serving as president of the subsidiary.
The acquisition underscores Datavault AI’s strategy to bolster its data science and AI capabilities with enhanced cybersecurity. CyberCatch’s patented AI platform automates compliance and risk management, addressing growing regulatory demands and cyber threats. This integration is expected to strengthen Datavault AI’s offerings in sectors such as fintech, healthcare, and real estate, where data security is paramount.
Datavault AI’s cloud-based platform provides solutions for AI experience, valuation, and asset monetization in the Web 3.0 environment. Its Acoustic Science Division features WiSA, ADIO, and Sumerian patented technologies for spatial audio, while the Data Science Division leverages high-performance computing for data perception and secure monetization. The Information Data Exchange enables digital twins and licensing of name, image, and likeness by attaching physical objects to immutable metadata.
By adding CyberCatch’s continuous compliance monitoring and risk mitigation, Datavault AI aims to offer a more secure ecosystem for data transactions and digital assets. According to the press release, the combined entity will address the need for responsible AI with integrity, a key concern for enterprises adopting AI and blockchain technologies. CyberCatch’s AI platform provides real-time threat detection and automated remediation, which could complement Datavault AI’s existing analytics and advertising monitoring tools.
The deal is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals. The full press release is available at https://ibn.fm/lktOf. Datavault AI’s forward-looking statements caution that actual results may differ due to risks outlined in its SEC filings, including its Annual Report on Form 10-K and Quarterly Reports on Form 10-Q.
This acquisition positions Datavault AI to capitalize on the convergence of data monetization and cybersecurity, potentially offering clients a unified platform for managing digital assets while ensuring compliance and protection against cyber risks. As companies increasingly adopt Web 3.0 and AI, the demand for integrated security solutions is expected to grow, making this strategic move timely.
