The eighth edition of the International Conference and Exhibition Desalination Latin America is scheduled for June 17-18, 2026, in Santiago, Chile. Organized by Vostock Capital, the event has become a pivotal hub for strategy development, investment attraction, and partnership growth within the desalination industry across Latin America.
Over the past seven years, the conference has brought together experts, delivered major projects, and established a platform for meaningful dialogue. The 2026 edition will continue this tradition, confronting tomorrow's desalination challenges and unveiling projects driving sustainable transformation. Keynote regular participants include major water utilities such as Aguas de Antofagasta, Econssa, Esval, Cramsa, Trends S.A., Desala, and Aguas Pacífico, as well as mining giants Codelco, Anglo American, Antofagasta Minerals, Southern Perú Copper Corporation, and Teck Resources. Governmental bodies like the Ministry of Mining and the General Directorate of Water (MOP) from Chile, along with international financial institutions such as CAF – Development Bank of Latin America, BID Invest, and ProInversión Perú, will also be represented.

Investment projects to be highlighted include desalination for mining expansion programs in Chile, the Northern Chile Water Supply Corridor integrating multi-user desalination pipelines, Peru Coastal Desalination PPPs for Lima, Ilo, and southern industrial clusters, Chile's renewable-powered desalination projects featuring solar- and wind-integrated SWRO plants, and regional brine valorization and circular economy initiatives focusing on lithium and salt recovery. Upcoming 2026–2027 bidding rounds for new PPPs and multi-client desalination hubs in Chile and Peru will also be discussed.
As part of the 2026 desalination agenda, two exclusive technical site visits will be hosted in Spain. The first, a technical visit to the AcuaMed Desalination Plant in Murcia, will take place on May 13–14, with limited spots available.
