FWD Group Holdings Limited (FWD Group) commemorated its 13th anniversary by unveiling a series of charitable grants designed to uplift more than 13,000 people in communities across Asia. The initiative reflects the company's broader mission to transform the life insurance industry while fostering positive social change in the regions where it operates.
Since its founding in 2013, FWD Group has expanded from its initial operations in Hong Kong SAR, Macau SAR, and Thailand to become a pan-Asian life and health insurer serving millions of customers across 10 markets. The company achieved a significant milestone in July 2025 with its listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange under the stock code 1828.

The grants will support a wide range of initiatives across the region, focusing on financial literacy, career readiness, entrepreneurship, health and wellbeing, and community recovery. In Hong Kong SAR, FWD is extending the JA SparktheDream Wellness Programme with Junior Achievement Hong Kong, which will equip 2,600 primary school students with social, emotional, and financial skills through interactive workshops and family activities. Additionally, FWD is strengthening the wellbeing of 200 children and 80 caregivers affected by the Tai Po fire through a football-based programme with Save the Children Hong Kong, and advancing long-term recovery for Tai Po communities with psychosocial support and community-building initiatives led by Plan International Hong Kong, reaching over 6,500 students, parents, and teachers.
In Cambodia, FWD is supporting JCI Mekong to provide financial education workshops, expert-led discussions, and digital learning content for 200 young people. In Indonesia, the InnovateHer Academy 4.0 with KUMPUL will empower 10 female entrepreneurs with mentorship, business, and investment readiness skills. Japan will see football clinics for over 15 visually impaired individuals with Hands On Tokyo, promoting inclusion and social connection. In Malaysia, FWD is partnering with GivingHub to provide 170 low-income families with health education and financial literacy workshops, along with 100 cancer screening and consultation sessions.
The Philippines will benefit from a programme with Junior Achievement Philippines that helps 100 university students transition into the workforce with financial literacy, career readiness, and future-of-work skills. In Singapore, 50 children with chronic illnesses and their caregivers will enjoy a carnival experience with Club Rainbow (Singapore), fostering inclusion and community spirit. Thailand will see career readiness support for seven disadvantaged youth through hospitality training scholarships with Pimali Foundation, and the expansion of the JA SparktheDream programme with Junior Achievement Thailand to train 30 educators in delivering financial literacy education.
Vietnam will receive support for 800 students through workshops and debate competitions by Startup Vietnam Foundation and Dear Our Community, focusing on financial literacy, critical thinking, and communication skills. Additionally, Little Roses Foundation will provide schools in Khanh Hoa Province with 76 computers, enabling 1,800 students to continue learning after severe flooding damaged their facilities.
