The facility, which replaces the previous Genesis of Merrillville location, is designed to embody the brand's 'son-nim' philosophy, treating every visitor as an honored guest. This opening comes on the heels of J.D. Power's latest Initial Quality Study, which ranked Genesis second in the industry, behind only Porsche.
The new showroom features expansive natural light, a dedicated interior Zen garden, and a hospitality-centered environment. "We wanted to create a dealership that truly reflects what Genesis has become," said Kelly Webb Roberts, president of Genesis of Schererville. "This project has been years in the making, and it's the most premium facility our family has ever built in our more than 50 years of serving Northwest Indiana."
The facility includes 12 service bays staffed by Genesis-certified technicians, with a glass wall separating the customer lounge from the shop floor, allowing owners to watch their vehicles being serviced. Four Level 3 DC fast chargers are available 24/7, supporting the electrified models in the lineup. Genesis vehicles are known for their advanced features such as available Nappa leather seating, premium audio systems, OLED displays, panoramic glass roofs, fingerprint authentication, Remote Smart Parking Assist, and massage-equipped driver's seats.
Genesis also emphasizes a hassle-free ownership experience through 'The Genesis Experience,' which includes complimentary scheduled maintenance for three years or 36,000 miles and the Genesis Service Valet program. This service allows Genesis of Schererville to pick up a customer's vehicle from their home or workplace, provide a loaner if needed, and return the vehicle after service. First owners of 2023 and newer models also receive complimentary Genesis Connected Services, including Enhanced Roadside Assistance, Remote Start with Climate Control, and Stolen Vehicle Recovery.
The warranty coverage is among the longest in the luxury segment: five years or 60,000 miles for the new vehicle and 10 years or 100,000 miles for powertrain components.
