Hong Wei Liao and Botrich Inc. Support CYFA Youth Education Event Emphasizing Leadership and University Readiness

Hong Wei Liao, Chairman of the Botrich Family Wealth Heritage and Development Center, together with Botrich Inc., recently supported a youth education event in partnership with the Canada Youth Funding Association (CYFA), continuing a long-standing commitment to educational opportunities, leadership development, and youth empowerment. The event, themed "Find Your Purpose, Chase Your Ivy Dream," brought together students, families, educators, and community members for an afternoon focused on preparing young people for university admissions while encouraging them to develop confidence, resilience, and leadership skills.

The educational session featured a former CYFA president currently studying economics and political science at internationally recognized universities. Drawing on personal academic experience, the speaker provided practical guidance on the university admissions process, goal setting, balancing academics with extracurricular activities, and preparing for future opportunities. Rather than focusing exclusively on grades, the presentation emphasized broader qualities that leading universities value, including leadership, curiosity, community involvement, initiative, and authenticity. Students received advice on building effective study habits, managing time responsibly, maintaining motivation, and communicating their personal experiences with confidence throughout the application process.

A significant portion of the discussion addressed challenges students face outside the classroom, including managing academic pressure, navigating family expectations, developing resilience during setbacks, and maintaining perspective while pursuing ambitious goals. Participants were encouraged to view challenges as opportunities for personal growth. For Hong Wei Liao, supporting such initiatives reflects a broader belief that preparing young people requires more than academic instruction alone. "Every young person has unique strengths, but many simply need the opportunity and encouragement to discover them," said Liao. "Education should help students develop confidence, resilience, and the ability to think independently. Those qualities will continue serving them long after graduation."

Through her work with the Botrich Family Wealth Heritage and Development Center, Liao has consistently supported initiatives that encourage youth leadership, educational advancement, and community engagement. Botrich Inc.'s support for the event reflects its ongoing commitment to investing in the next generation through educational, cultural, and community-focused initiatives. Beyond its work in technology and global resource integration, Botrich actively supports programs that create opportunities for young people to expand perspectives, strengthen leadership skills, and prepare for long-term success. The event also highlighted the role community organizations play in connecting students with mentors and educational resources, creating an environment where participants could ask questions, share experiences, and gain practical knowledge.

Organizers expressed appreciation for strong community participation and emphasized the importance of continuing accessible educational programming for young people. As educational pathways evolve, initiatives like this help equip students with practical tools, broader perspectives, and greater confidence for university and future careers. Through continued collaboration with organizations such as the Canada Youth Funding Association, Hong Wei Liao and Botrich remain committed to supporting programs that foster lifelong learning, leadership, and community engagement.
