Kairos Gold Inc. (TSX-V: KIRO) has commenced its Phase Three diamond drilling program at the Oro Brillante concession, part of the company's 100%-owned Las Garillas Project in Chile's Coquimbo Region. The 3,100-metre program, consisting of 10 planned holes, aims to further define and expand the known mineralized footprint through infill drilling and testing along the primary northwest-southeast structural corridor. Results are expected to support a future mineral resource estimate.
Drilling has started on hole OB-01-26, with the campaign anticipated to continue over the next 12 weeks. During site preparation, the company encountered multiple zones of alteration and strong oxidation within the drill area, which CEO Michelle DeCecco described as encouraging. "The crew is on site and the rig is turning; we are eager to expand our understanding of Oro Brillante and its potential," she said. "The geological characteristics observed during site preparation, including visible gold at surface, have been encouraging and continue to support our confidence in the project."
The Oro Brillante concession sits within the prolific Chilean mega porphyry belt, known for large-scale gold, silver, and copper deposits. Kairos Gold holds a portfolio of exploration properties spanning 17,201 hectares across three projects in Chile. The Phase Three program is designed to test along the structural corridor and provide data for a potential mineral resource estimate. The company will provide updates and assay results as they become available.
