When Kami Alaniz first introduced Helping People Like Me Ministry in 2025, she was still assembling much of what she had envisioned. Today, Just Brooke, LLC has become the company she described, with a faith-centered mission, a publishing and production brand, and a growing media presence. The shift matters because it moves Alaniz's work from a promise to a set of tangible resources that people can access now, particularly those navigating healthcare decisions, burnout and personal reinvention.
Alaniz, a Registered Nurse with more than 33 years of experience, has published books that are being sold on Amazon, with additional titles in development. Her expanded website, www.JustBrooke.net, now brings together her books, coaching, courses, classes, ministry and media. One of the ideas connecting that work is the R3B Empowerment Method™: Remove Blocks, Reset, Rediscover Yourself, and Build Your Dream Life. The method reflects Alaniz's own experience of working, caregiving, exhaustion and disappointment, and she says she understands what it is like to still sense that God has more for a person's life.
The implications extend beyond books. Alaniz continued working as a traveling nurse while building Just Brooke, which has kept her close to patients, families and healthcare professionals facing financial concerns, caregiver exhaustion and uncertainty about what happens next. That proximity informs her newest media venture, APPROVED or DENIED: Decoding Medicare, Medicaid, & Beyond — For Professionals, Patients & Providers, a weekly podcast airing Thursdays at 7:00 a.m. Central. The program draws on her nursing background but intentionally goes beyond healthcare, recognizing that a person dealing with Medicare or Medicaid may also be exhausted, worried about family or struggling with faith. Alaniz is beginning to bring guests from different professional backgrounds onto the program, and each episode includes a Book of the Week connecting her published work to the topics discussed.
Just Brooke Productions has also launched Across the Table with Kami, a short-form video series where Alaniz talks about healthcare, her books, faith and other issues she encounters through her work. The growing media presence is opening another direction: speaking. Her background allows her to address healthcare professionals, patients and families on subjects such as Medicare and navigating difficult healthcare decisions, while also speaking with churches, conferences and community organizations about burnout, forgiveness, faith, purpose and moving forward after difficult seasons. For Alaniz, speaking is not simply about delivering an inspirational message. She wants to give people something they can actually use in their lives, and her books, classes, coaching, podcast and other resources give people ways to continue that work after the initial conversation.
Alaniz expects continued growth across Just Brooke Productions, her publishing work, podcast and speaking, but she remains closely tied to the reason Helping People Like Me Ministry was created. She wants to reach people who recognize something of themselves in her story, particularly those who have spent years caring for others and may now find themselves exhausted, hurting or unsure about their own next chapter. That mission has not changed as Just Brooke has grown. What has changed is Alaniz's ability to put something tangible behind it. Several years ago, she was trying to explain what she hoped Just Brooke could eventually become. Today, she can show people.
