LaFleur Minerals Inc. (CSE: LFLR) (OTCQB: LFLRF) is executing a multi-pronged growth strategy centered on restarting its Beacon Gold Mill and advancing development of the Swanson Gold Deposit, part of the company's 192-square-kilometer Swanson Project in the Abitibi greenstone belt near Val-d'Or, Québec. The Abitibi region has produced over 300 million ounces of gold, and LaFleur is positioning itself to capitalize on this rich mining district.
CEO and Director Paul Ténière highlighted the company's recent progress, noting that the last quarter was marked by major developments and a volatile gold market, with prices ranging from US$4,000 to US$5,400 per ounce before settling in the US$4,500-$5,000 range. 'The last quarter has been an extremely busy time full of major developments for LaFleur and also a run in the price of gold,' Ténière said.
The company has employed strategic acquisitions and experienced management to protect shareholder value through efficient financing. The recent prosperity in the gold market has increased the company's overall prospects. LaFleur is also in talks with rail officials to improve transit between the Swanson Project and the Beacon Mill, proposing a new rail spur that would extend directly from the rail line crossing the property to the mill. This infrastructure enhancement could significantly reduce transportation costs and improve operational efficiency.
LaFleur anticipates potential for additional open-pit gold recovery across the Swanson Project, which includes 445 mineral claims and one mining lease. Diamond drilling intercepts have shown promising results, including 2.05 g/t Au over 158.25 meters, with narrow high-grade results such as 121.0 g/t Au over 1.1 meters. These findings underscore the project's potential for both bulk-tonnage and high-grade gold mineralization.
The Beacon Gold Mill, fully permitted and refurbished, is capable of processing over 750 tonnes per day. It is being considered for processing mineralized material from Swanson and for custom milling operations for other nearby gold projects. The mill's strategic location and capacity provide a significant advantage for LaFleur in the region.
LaFleur Minerals is focused on the development of district-scale gold projects, with a laser focus on the resource-stage Swanson Gold Project and the Beacon Gold Mill. The Swanson Gold Project is approximately 18,304 hectares (183 km²) and includes several prospects rich in gold and critical metals previously held by Monarch Mining, Abcourt Mines, and Globex Mining. The company has consolidated a large land package along a major structural break that hosts the Swanson, Bartec, and Jolin gold deposits.
