LaFleur Minerals Inc. (CSE: LFLR) (OTCQB: LFLRF) (FSE: 3WK0) has engaged The Bedford Consulting Group, a North American executive search and talent advisory firm, to recruit a senior mining executive as the company advances toward the restart of gold production at its wholly owned Beacon Gold Mill in Québec. The appointment is intended to strengthen leadership capacity as the company transitions from an exploration-stage company to a production-focused gold company.
The search mandate aims to identify an executive with experience building early-stage mining companies toward production, executing accretive transactions, and driving long-term growth. This move underscores LaFleur's strategic pivot as it prepares to restart the Beacon Gold Mill, which is capable of processing over 750 tonnes per day, and to develop its nearby Swanson Gold Project.
LaFleur highlighted a series of recent milestones supporting that transition. In late 2025, the company completed a C$7.8 million financing. It also released a positive preliminary economic assessment (PEA) outlining a scalable restart plan for the Beacon Gold Mill, anchored by feed from the Swanson Gold Deposit. An updated mineral resource estimate showed a 30% increase in indicated gold ounces. Additionally, LaFleur proposed a C$30 million gold prepayment facility and doré offtake agreement with Trafigura Canada, a global commodities trading firm. The company also reported continued strong drilling results at Swanson and recently acquired the McKenzie East Gold Project, expanding its asset base in Québec’s Val-d’Or district.
The Bedford Consulting Group is a recognized executive search firm with expertise in the mining and natural resources sectors. By partnering with this firm, LaFleur aims to secure a leader who can navigate the complexities of transitioning from exploration to production, a critical phase that often determines a company's long-term success. The new executive will be tasked with overseeing the restart of the Beacon Gold Mill, advancing the Swanson Gold Project, and pursuing further growth opportunities.
The Beacon Gold Mill, recently refurbished, is central to LaFleur's production strategy. The PEA outlines a plan to restart the mill using mineralized material from Swanson, which is approximately 19,214 hectares in size and hosts several gold deposits. The mill could also serve custom milling operations for other nearby gold projects, potentially generating additional revenue streams.
LaFleur's focus on the Abitibi Gold Belt, a prolific mining region, positions it to capitalize on rising gold prices and strong investor interest in gold production. The company's ability to secure financing and offtake agreements indicates market confidence in its assets and strategy. The appointment of a seasoned executive is expected to accelerate the timeline to production and enhance shareholder value.
