Best Lawyers selects honorees through a rigorous peer review process. Attorneys are nominated and then evaluated by currently recognized lawyers in their field. The organization verifies that nominees are in good standing with their local bar associations before finalizing the list. According to Best Lawyers, “For more than 40 years, Best Lawyers has been grounded in a simple principle: the best lawyers know who the best lawyers are.”

Polich expressed gratitude for the recognition, stating, “I want to express my sincere gratitude both to Best Lawyers and all of my peers who voted for me in these categories. It's an honor to be recognized for my work in personal injury law. I became an attorney because I wanted to help people who have been harmed through no fault of their own, and I'm proud to work for one of the most distinguished firms in the state of Wisconsin.”

A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Polich is past Chair of the Wisconsin Association for Justice Program Committee and serves on the board of the Jason Simcakoski Foundation, which focuses on improving mental health care for veterans.
