Linkers Industries Limited (NASDAQ: LNKS), a manufacturer and supplier of wire and cable harnesses, announced it has signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MOU) to acquire additional equity interests in LPW Electronics Co. Ltd., a Thailand-based electronics company. The proposed transaction could increase Linkers’ ownership from its current 20% stake to up to 49%, subject to due diligence, a definitive agreement, and required approvals.
The move is intended to expand Linkers’ manufacturing capabilities and scale through LPW’s 6,500-square-meter facility, which serves multinational automotive and industrial customers. Management noted that the potential acquisition could enhance earnings visibility and support the company’s growth as a multinational wire harness manufacturer. Linkers, which has over 20 years of experience in the wire and cable harness industry, operates manufacturing facilities in Malaysia and provides customized harnesses for home appliances, industrial products, and automotive sectors, primarily in the Asia Pacific region.

This announcement comes as Linkers seeks to strengthen its position in the global wire harness market, which is driven by demand from the automotive and industrial sectors. The increased stake in LPW Electronics is expected to provide Linkers with additional production capacity and access to new customers, potentially boosting its competitive edge. However, the non-binding nature of the MOU means the deal is not yet finalized, and investors will watch for further developments as due diligence progresses.
