LiverRight and Aegle Medical Solutions, LLC have announced a strategic partnership aimed at expanding access to non-invasive liver assessment, specialist interpretation, diagnosis, and ongoing liver care for patients throughout the United States. The collaboration brings together Aegle Medical’s advanced liver assessment technology and support services with LiverRight’s national virtual liver clinic, creating a more connected pathway for healthcare organizations to identify and manage liver disease.
For physicians, health systems, and independent practices, the partnership is designed to simplify the establishment or expansion of comprehensive liver disease programs. Aegle Medical provides consultative support for technology evaluation, implementation, clinical training, and ongoing customer service, including the Mindray Hepatus-Series Transient Elastography Diagnostic Ultrasound Systems. LiverRight offers same-day interpretation of liver elastography studies and same-week virtual access to its hepatology clinicians through its Liververse™ referral system, which coordinates bloodwork, patient-reported outcomes, imaging, diagnosis, and longitudinal disease management.
The collaboration addresses a critical gap in liver care. Many adults in the U.S. live with undiagnosed liver disease, and access to specialists can be limited, particularly in certain communities. By combining advanced assessment technology with virtual specialist expertise, the partnership aims to bring liver assessment closer to where patients already receive care. This approach can lead to earlier detection, more efficient diagnosis, and appropriate ongoing management, potentially improving outcomes and reducing the total cost of care.
Brandon Tudor, CEO of LiverRight, stated, “Aegle Medical Solutions is helping hospital systems and independent practices nationwide address the significant number of adults living with undiagnosed liver disease in the United States. By working together, we help practices bring advanced liver assessment into the outpatient setting, provide timely specialist interpretation, and move patients into the appropriate diagnostic and care workflow with greater efficiency.”
Michael McTighe, President & CEO of Aegle Medical Solutions, added, “This strategic partnership with LiverRight represents an important step forward in our shared vision of expanding access to liver disease detection and care within the communities we serve. Aegle Medical has worked to make advanced non-invasive liver assessment technology more accessible to health systems, GI practices and hepatology programs across the country. By connecting those capabilities with LiverRight’s nationwide virtual liver-care network and same-day interpretation services, we can provide our customers with more than technology we can help them establish a more complete pathway from assessment to diagnosis and ongoing patient management.”
A key technological component of the partnership is the Mindray Hepatus platform, which introduces Visualized Transient Elastography (ViTE). This next-generation technology integrates real-time B-mode ultrasound visualization directly into the elastography examination, allowing operators to see liver anatomy, identify optimal measurement locations, and visually guide each acquisition while obtaining quantitative liver stiffness and attenuation measurements. Unlike legacy platforms that may require different probes based on patient body habitus, the Hepatus platform is designed for a more efficient, image-guided workflow. It provides liver stiffness measurement (LSM) for fibrosis assessment and Liver UltraSound Attenuation (LiSA) for quantitative assessment of hepatic steatosis. The Hepatus 6 further expands capabilities with diagnostic ultrasound imaging for abdominal imaging, Doppler, spleen stiffness assessment, and intestinal ultrasound, creating a versatile platform for hepatology and gastroenterology applications.
LiverRight’s hepatologists and advanced practice providers are licensed across all 50 U.S. states and support adult patients with conditions including MASLD/MASH, alcohol-associated liver disease, hepatitis B and C, primary biliary cholangitis, primary sclerosing cholangitis, autoimmune hepatitis, and liver cancer diagnosis. The partnership offers a scalable approach for providers to expand liver services under their own brand, combining advanced technology, implementation support, timely specialist interpretation, and a pathway to continued care.
