Phoenix audiences will have the opportunity to see Martha Wash and Marsha Warfield perform together in It's Raining Queens™ at Stage West in the Herberger Theater Center on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 7 p.m. The production is described as more than a concert or comedy show, offering a 90-minute live experience that combines powerhouse vocals, stand-up comedy, and candid storytelling.
Two-time Grammy nominee Martha Wash is known for her work as one half of The Weather Girls and for providing the vocals on multi-platinum recordings by Black Box and C&C Music Factory. Her hits include "It's Raining Men," "Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)," "Everybody Everybody," and "Strike It Up." Wash has earned 15 No. 1 singles on Billboard's Dance Club Songs chart, five Billboard Music Awards, five American Music Awards, two MTV Video Music Awards, and the National Blues Museum's Lifetime Achievement Award.
Marsha Warfield is an acclaimed comedian, actress, writer, and television host who gained national attention as a performer on NBC's The Richard Pryor Show and later became a household name as Roz Russell on Night Court. She also starred on Empty Nest and hosted The Marsha Warfield Show. Her career includes film, stand-up comedy, HBO appearances, and recent roles on Netflix's The Upshaws and ABC's 9-1-1. Warfield won the 1979 San Francisco International Comedy Competition and has received nominations from the NAACP Image Awards and Soul Train Awards.
