MAX Power Mining Corp. (CSE: MAXX; OTC: MAXXF; FRANKFURT: 89N) has announced preliminary results from a 3D seismic survey at its Lawson Natural Hydrogen system in Saskatchewan, revealing a substantial expansion of the original discovery. The survey, which covered the Lawson Central area, delineated a large structural closure spanning approximately 14.2 square kilometers. This newly defined area significantly extends the known extent of the hydrogen system, which was first confirmed through deep drilling as Canada's first-ever subsurface Natural Hydrogen discovery.
The seismic data also identified multiple high-priority drill targets within a broader region now termed the 'Lawson Complex,' which covers roughly 28 square kilometers. This complex supports the potential for multiple producing wells with both hydrogen and helium concentrations, as the company advances toward further drilling and evaluation of the system's commercial viability. The results underscore the growing significance of the Lawson discovery, which has been validated by three independent laboratories.
MAX Power has built a dominant district-scale land position in Saskatchewan, with approximately 1.3 million acres (521,000 hectares) of permits and an additional 5.7 million acres under application. This prime exploration ground is prospective for large-volume accumulations of natural hydrogen, a clean energy resource that is gaining attention as a potential decarbonization solution. The company also holds a portfolio of properties in the United States and Canada focused on critical minerals, including a 2024 diamond drilling discovery at the Willcox Playa Lithium Project in southeast Arizona, which is 100%-owned by MAX Power's U.S. subsidiary.
