MAX Power Mining Corp. (CSE: MAXX; OTC: MAXXF; FRANKFURT: 89N) is set to present its Natural Hydrogen program at the IMAGE '26 conference in Houston on Aug. 19. The presentation, led by President and Director Chad Levesque, will detail the company's progress at the Lawson Complex in south-central Saskatchewan, where it has confirmed Canada's first subsurface Natural Hydrogen system. This development is significant as it could represent the world's first large-scale commercial discovery of Natural Hydrogen, a potential primary energy source that emits no carbon when burned.
The Lawson Complex is undergoing a multi-well commercial validation program aimed at defining the system's scale, continuity, reservoir characteristics, and commercial potential. The first well in this program, Lawson 2, encountered approximately 860 meters of continuous elevated Natural Hydrogen readings, including the highest readings recorded to date at Lawson. This well also provided evidence of an enhanced fracture system within the Precambrian basement complex, which is crucial for understanding the reservoir's ability to store and flow hydrogen. Drilling has since advanced to Lawson 3, which is positioned to provide a third data point as MAX Power works to better understand the deposit's potential volume.
The company has built dominant district-scale land positions across Saskatchewan, with approximately 1.3 million acres (521,000 hectares) of permits covering prime exploration ground prospective for large-volume accumulations of Natural Hydrogen. This extensive land position underscores MAX Power's commitment to establishing a leading position in this nascent industry. In addition to its hydrogen projects, MAX Power holds a portfolio of properties in the United States and Canada focused on critical minerals, highlighted by a 2024 diamond drilling discovery at the Willcox Playa Lithium Project in southeast Arizona, which is 100%-owned by MAX Power's U.S. subsidiary.
The presentation at IMAGE '26 is expected to attract attention from industry professionals and investors interested in the potential of Natural Hydrogen as a clean energy source. As the world seeks to decarbonize, Natural Hydrogen offers a promising alternative to fossil fuels, and MAX Power's pioneering work in this field could have significant implications for the energy sector. The company's commitment to responsible exploration and development practices, including environmental stewardship and community engagement, further enhances its credibility.
