OYSTER BAY, NY — A new undergraduate scholarship aimed at supporting cancer survivors was announced today by financial executive and community leader Keith D'Agostino. The Keith D'Agostino Scholarship for Cancer Survivors provides financial assistance to students who have overcome cancer and are pursuing higher education at accredited U.S. institutions.
The scholarship recognizes the unique challenges cancer survivors face in balancing academic goals with health-related hurdles. Eligible applicants must be currently enrolled undergraduate students at an accredited college or university in the United States and must be cancer survivors, regardless of cancer type or stage of survivorship.
To apply, students must submit an original essay of 500 to 600 words addressing the prompt: "How has your journey as a cancer survivor shaped your understanding of resilience, and how do you plan to apply that strength to your future professional or community leadership roles?" The selection process prioritizes character, perseverance, and leadership potential over standardized test scores.

Keith D'Agostino, a Senior Managing Director in the financial industry with nearly 30 years of experience, also serves as a school board trustee and youth baseball coach. Through this scholarship, he aims to help students translate personal resilience into professional success.
