City Pass, Inc. has announced a major revamp of its New York CityPASS® program, shifting to a fully flexible model that allows visitors to choose any five attractions from a curated list of ten. The move, coupled with a price reduction and the addition of two high-profile attractions, signals a strategic effort to capture a larger share of the competitive New York tourism market by offering greater value and personalization.
The new ticket format eliminates fixed attraction bundles, giving travelers the freedom to tailor their itinerary. Adult pricing drops from $164 to $149, while child pricing falls from $136 to $129. Advertised savings now reach as much as 51% compared to combined admission prices. The ticket remains valid for nine consecutive days from first use, and digital delivery via the My CityPASS® app includes reservation management and real-time updates.
Two new attractions join the lineup: Edge Observation Deck & Immersive Experience and the Whitney Museum of American Art. Edge, located at Hudson Yards, is the highest indoor and outdoor sky deck in the Western Hemisphere, suspended over 1,100 feet above Manhattan. It features a glass floor, angled glass walls, and new immersive installations such as NYC’s largest kaleidoscope, the Pulse infinity room with 450 glowing orbs, and the Crystal Cave. The Whitney, in the Meatpacking District, houses iconic works by Edward Hopper, Georgia O’Keeffe, and Andy Warhol, along with contemporary exhibitions and outdoor terraces overlooking the Hudson River.
“These updates give travelers more control over how they experience New York,” said Megan Allen, president and CEO of City Pass, Inc. “By moving to a fully flexible format, adding new attractions and lowering the ticket price, New York CityPASS® tickets offer even greater value and make it easier than ever for visitors to build the New York experience that’s right for them.”
The full lineup now includes the Empire State Building Observation Deck, American Museum of Natural History, Top of the Rock® Observation Deck, 9/11 Memorial & Museum, Statue of Liberty Grounds and Ellis Island Official Ferry, Circle Line Sightseeing Cruises, Intrepid Museum, Guggenheim Museum, Edge, and the Whitney.
For nearly 30 years, CityPASS® tickets have served more than 30 million travelers across 17 North American destinations. The program’s average customer rating stands at 4.6 out of 5 stars from over 88,000 reviews. More information is available at citypass.com.
