Niqo Robotics Expands AI Weeder Lineup with North America's Widest Hooded Model for Specialty Crops

Niqo Robotics has expanded its U.S. lineup of AI weeding robots with the RoboWeeder F50, which the company describes as North America's widest hooded AI weeder. The new model has a 46-foot working width that can extend to 50 feet, and it joins the 20-foot flagship RoboWeeder and the 24-foot F24, giving U.S. growers three options tailored to different farm sizes and crop types. The F50 will be unveiled at FIRA USA 2026 in Yakima from October 20-22, ahead of its commercial release in 2027.

The announcement matters because it addresses a critical challenge in specialty crop production: effective, scalable weed control without relying on chemical herbicides or labor-intensive manual weeding. By offering a wide-format machine, Niqo aims to make precision weeding viable for large operations while maintaining the flexibility needed for smaller farms. The company says every machine runs on its proprietary AI, which can deploy a working algorithm for a new crop overnight with more than 85% accuracy, then refine it to 99.6% commercial accuracy within weeks. That speed allows Niqo to build machines "localized to the zip code," matched to local crops, farm sizes, and field conditions.

Niqo Robotics positions itself as a physical AI company building the intelligence layer for farm machines. Its RoboWeeder robots use Niqo Sense to identify crops and weeds plant by plant, handling precision weeding, thinning, and beneficial spraying in one smart pass. The company sells its machines without a subscription, which could lower the barrier to adoption for growers wary of ongoing costs. For specialty crop growers, the F50's wide working width could reduce the number of passes needed across a field, saving time, fuel, and labor. The 2027 commercial release timeline gives growers time to evaluate the technology at FIRA USA 2026 and plan for integration into their operations.
