Opawica Explorations Targets High-Grade Gold at Arrowhead with Permitted 10,000-Metre Drill Program

Opawica Explorations Inc. (TSXV: OPW) (FSE: A2PEAD) (OTCQB: OPWEF) has announced a comprehensive exploration update for its 100%-owned Arrowhead Gold Property in the Abitibi Greenstone Belt of Quebec. The company is set to embark on a significant 10,000-metre diamond drilling program, with permits already secured for 25 drill pads. This program is designed to systematically test high-priority targets generated from an extensive dataset that includes geophysical surveys, seismic data, artificial-intelligence-assisted targeting, and 3D geological modelling.

The Arrowhead property holds a strategic position, located immediately adjacent to Agnico Eagle's LaRonde Complex, a prolific gold producer that has generated over eight million ounces since 1988. This proximity underscores the potential of the area, although mineralization on adjacent properties is not necessarily indicative of Arrowhead's mineralization. Opawica's management believes the property is at a pivotal stage, with the next phase focused on drilling to test the continuity, extensions, and depth of known gold zones.

Arrowhead is not a grassroots project. Exploration dates back nearly a century, with historical work including prospecting, trenching, underground workings, and diamond drilling. Early results reported high-grade gold values, such as 45.05 g/t Au, and chip samples up to 90.75 g/t Au over 1.0 metre. These historical results have not been independently verified by Opawica's Qualified Person, but they provide a strong foundation for modern exploration.

In 2022, Opawica completed its inaugural modern drill program at Arrowhead, totalling 4,306 metres across 14 holes. The program successfully confirmed gold mineralization, with 11 holes intersecting gold zones grading greater than 1.0 g/t Au along a one-kilometre strike length. Notable intersections included 18.7 g/t Au over 0.35 metres with 0.72% Cu in hole AR-22-01, and 1.52 g/t Au over 14.8 metres in AR-22-04. The drilling identified gold in two geological settings: shear zones with quartz-carbonate-tourmaline veins in mafic volcanic rocks, and mineralized felsic tuffs with quartz-tourmaline veining. Importantly, nine target zones remained untested after the 2022 campaign, setting the stage for the upcoming program.

The planned 10,000-metre drill program is intended to test these high-priority targets, with a focus on expanding known mineralization and evaluating deeper and structural extensions. The company has assembled one of the most comprehensive modern geological datasets for the property, including seismic surveys and 3D modelling, which will guide the drilling. This program represents the next major phase of exploration at Arrowhead, aiming to unlock its full potential.

The Arrowhead property is located in an established mining district with excellent infrastructure, and Opawica holds drill permits covering 25 drill-pad locations, ensuring the program can proceed without regulatory delays. The company's qualified person, Yvan Bussieres, P.Eng., has reviewed and approved the technical information in this release.

This drilling campaign is a critical step for Opawica as it seeks to delineate a potentially significant gold system adjacent to one of the world's most productive gold mines. The results could have major implications for the company's valuation and the regional gold potential.
