Phil Jones, Jr. Launches 'Captain: 72 Days to Unlock Your Inner Superhero,' a Practical Roadmap for Self-Leadership and Personal Transformation

Phil Jones, Jr., an author, coach, and ministry leader, has announced the release of his new book, "Captain: 72 Days to Unlock Your Inner Superhero," published by Lucid Books. The book provides a structured 72-day roadmap aimed at helping readers enhance self-leadership, cultivate daily habits, and live with intentional purpose. Each day presents a choice to "Seize or Relinquish," guiding readers through consistent action and reflection toward becoming the captain of their own lives.

"Captain is a plan," said Jones. "If someone follows it for 72 days, I truly believe they cannot help but get results." The book emphasizes taking ownership of decisions, sharpening vision, building resilience, and embracing courage for lasting change. Jones' approach is grounded in his extensive experience in financial planning and pastoral ministry. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Sam Houston State University and a Master of Divinity from Liberty University, bringing a practical perspective to personal growth and leadership.

Jones' passion for writing began in fourth grade when his class published a poetry book, sparking a love for writing that led to this fulfillment of a long-held dream. "I have dreamed of writing a book for years and felt like this is what I was supposed to do," he shared. Overcoming challenges such as putting himself out there, Jones adopted a disciplined routine inspired by author Og Mandino. He credits a practice he calls "Bach O'Clock"—writing at the same time daily while listening to Bach—for overcoming writer's block. He describes his writing journey as "Relentless. Disciplined. Transformational."

The book is designed as a daily action plan, challenging readers to make simple but significant choices each day. By the end of the journey, readers will have developed practical tools to lead themselves more effectively in all areas of life. "Today is the best day of your life," Jones said. "Change is possible, one day at a time."

Jones, his wife Sarah, and their four children reside in Willis, Texas, along with their two French bulldogs. Outside of writing, he enjoys working out, reading, sports, and traveling. Through "Captain," Jones aims to inspire readers to stop waiting for change and start leading themselves toward it, one intentional day at a time.
