Powermax Minerals Completes 2026 Field Program at Cameron REE Project, Advancing Rare Earth Exploration in British Columbia

Powermax Minerals Inc. (CSE: PMAX) (OTCQB: PWMXF) (FSE: T23) has announced the completion of its 2026 field exploration program at the Cameron Rare Earth Element (REE) Project near Revelstoke, British Columbia. The program, conducted in July and August, included geological mapping, prospecting, rock-chip, soil and stream-sediment sampling, and handheld radiometric screening across priority target areas. The company collected a total of 250 samples—50 rock-chip, 50 soil, and 150 stream-sediment samples—which have been submitted to AGAT Laboratories in Calgary for analysis.

The primary objective of the program was to expand geological and geochemical coverage of areas identified through previous sampling, mapped pegmatites, geological contacts, and drainage catchments. This systematic approach is designed to better understand the mineralized systems and refine targets for potential additional surface work, trenching, or future drill evaluation. Following the receipt of laboratory results and completion of its QA/QC review, Powermax plans to integrate the analytical data with geological and radiometric field information to rank and prioritize the most promising zones.

The Cameron REE Project is strategically positioned in British Columbia, a jurisdiction known for its mining-friendly policies and infrastructure. Rare earth elements are critical for modern technologies, including electric vehicles, wind turbines, and defense applications. With global supply chains increasingly focused on diversifying sources beyond China, projects like Cameron are gaining attention for their potential to contribute to a secure North American supply chain.

Powermax Minerals is a Canadian mineral exploration company dedicated to advancing rare earth element projects. The company holds an option to acquire the Cameron REE Property, which comprises three mineral claims totaling approximately 2,984 hectares. In addition, Powermax has optioned the Atikokan REE Property in NW Ontario, consisting of 455 unpatented mining claims, and the 5,178-hectare Pinard REE property in Northern Ontario. The company also owns a 100% interest in the Ogden Bear Lodge Project in Crook County, Wyoming.

The completion of the 2026 field program marks a significant step in advancing the Cameron project. The data gathered will be crucial for assessing the project's economic potential and for planning next-phase exploration activities. Investors and industry observers will be watching for assay results, which are expected in the coming weeks. Positive results could elevate the project's status and attract further investment, aligning with the growing demand for rare earth elements in the clean energy transition.

As the world shifts toward renewable energy and advanced technologies, securing a reliable supply of rare earth elements has become a national priority for many countries. The Cameron REE Project, with its promising geology and the systematic exploration approach by Powermax, represents a potential domestic source of these critical minerals. The results of the 2026 program will be instrumental in determining the project's viability and future development, making this announcement a key development for stakeholders and the broader industry.
