Search Atlas Fixes Coworker Job Controls Alongside New Slack Launch

Search Atlas, the AI-powered SEO and marketing platform serving over 30,000 customers and 5,000 agencies worldwide, has announced a native Slack integration for its AI teammate, Coworker. This addition allows marketers and agencies to manage SEO and OTTO tasks directly within their existing Slack conversations, eliminating the need to switch between platforms.

Coworker, designed to function like a human teammate, lets users describe tasks in plain language and executes them within Search Atlas. Previously, this required working inside the Search Atlas dashboard. With the new integration, teams can connect Coworker to Slack and manage tasks in shared channels or direct messages, depending on their workflow. Agencies handling multiple client sites can bring Coworker into the channels where client work already occurs, keeping requests and results visible to all relevant team members. In-house teams can use private direct messages for day-to-day tasks.

Workspace admins receive dedicated permission controls to manage who can access Coworker and what it is allowed to handle across connected accounts. Search Atlas has published setup guidance to help teams configure their workspace correctly, along with documentation on how Coworker manages data and permissions for those who need to review these details before rollout.

The integration supports Routines, Coworker's automated recurring reports, allowing teams to receive standing SEO and OTTO updates directly in Slack. Additionally, Search Atlas has resolved a previously reported issue that prevented users from deactivating or deleting Coworker's scheduled jobs, giving teams full control over active processes at any time. Coworker is also available through a WordPress plugin, with guidance on how the plugin interacts with OTTO site quotas across multiple domains.

For teams getting started, Search Atlas has published a library of example prompts and use cases illustrating what Coworker can handle, from auditing technical SEO issues to drafting on-page recommendations. Supporting documentation includes guidance on when to use Coworker versus the standard dashboard, a troubleshooting guide for common Slack connection issues, and an FAQ covering connected apps, approval steps, and capabilities for both in-house teams and agencies.

“Most SEO work dies in a queue somewhere between the strategy and the person who has time to execute it,” said Arman Advani, Partner at Search Atlas. “Putting Coworker in Slack closes that gap. The work gets assigned in the same place the team already talks about it, and it gets done without anyone having to open another tab.”

The Slack integration is available now to Search Atlas customers and can be connected from the Coworker settings inside the platform. This development is significant as it streamlines SEO task management, reduces friction in execution, and addresses a critical bug, potentially improving productivity for thousands of agencies and marketing teams.
