University Orthopaedic Associates (UOA) announced that six of its surgeons have been named 2026 Castle Connolly Top Doctors, an honor bestowed on only 7 percent of the nation's licensed physicians each year. The recognized physicians are Hesham Abdelfattah, MD; Christopher Doumas, MD; David A. Harwood, MD; Timothy P. Leddy, MD; James T. Monica, MD; and Kenneth G. Swan, Jr., MD. These board-certified and fellowship-trained specialists represent UOA, a leading orthopaedic practice that has provided comprehensive musculoskeletal care in New Jersey for five decades.
The Castle Connolly selection process relies on peer nominations and a physician-led research team that evaluates nominees based on medical education, training, hospital appointments, and disciplinary histories.
