Smalls Sliders Brings Back Dr Pepper Swirl and Launches Dirty Dr Pepper

Smalls Sliders is betting big on the dirty soda craze, bringing back its fan-favorite Dr Pepper Swirl and introducing a new Dirty Dr Pepper for a limited time. Both drinks are available at all Cans nationwide through October 11, giving customers two ways to enjoy the iconic soda in handheld form.

The Dr Pepper Swirl, which first appeared as a limited-time offer last year, is a hand-spun shake made with a creamy vanilla base and swirled with ripples of Dr Pepper syrup. It puts a Smalls twist on a nostalgic soda fountain treat, blending the classic taste of Dr Pepper with a rich, creamy texture.

The new Dirty Dr Pepper taps directly into the viral dirty soda trend. It starts with an ice-cold Dr Pepper, adds real strawberry puree, and finishes with a splash of creamy vanilla for a sweet, refreshing drink. The launch comes as Yelp searches for dirty soda climbed 600% year over year and hit an all-time high in May 2026, signaling strong consumer demand.

"Guests talk about the Dr Pepper Swirl all year, so we are excited to bring it back and give guests a second way to sip," said Michael Alberici, Chief Marketing Officer for Smalls Sliders. "The Swirl is creamy, nostalgic and hand-spun, and the Dirty Dr Pepper arrives right as guests are chasing dirty sodas everywhere they go."

Both limited-time drinks pair with Smalls Sliders' fresh cooked-to-order sliders and seasoned waffle fries. The move underscores how beverage innovation is becoming a key battleground for fast-food chains. By leveraging a beloved brand like Dr Pepper and riding the dirty soda wave, Smalls Sliders aims to drive foot traffic and boost check averages. The limited-time nature of the offerings creates urgency, encouraging customers to visit before October 11. With over 375 Cans open or under development across 30 states, the chain is well-positioned to capitalize on the trend. The partnership with Dr Pepper, a Keurig Dr Pepper brand, also highlights the growing collaboration between restaurants and beverage companies to create unique, shareable menu items. As consumers continue to seek novel and indulgent drinks, Smalls Sliders' latest offerings could set a new standard for fast-food beverage menus.
