SMT Scharf AG Expands Sales Regions and Product Portfolio Through Exclusive Cooperation with CFH Group

SMT Scharf AG (WKN A3DRAE; ISIN DE000A3DRAE2), a global leader in bespoke transport solutions for underground mining, announced further progress in its Strategy 2026 by establishing exclusive cooperation with CFH Group for the Kazakhstan and South Africa markets. The strategic realignment aims to optimize global supply chain efficiency, integrate group locations, and diversify the product portfolio, particularly in electromobility and intelligent transport solutions, to meet increasing low-emission demand.

Under the agreements, CFH Group will serve as the exclusive dealer for all SMT Scharf products in Kazakhstan through CFT Kazakhstan T.O.O. Simultaneously, SMT Scharf Africa (Pty.) Ltd. will act as the exclusive dealer for all CFH Group products in South Africa. This partnership is designed to strengthen local footprints, integrate cross-group products, and leverage synergies within the group. It complements SMT Scharf's ongoing efforts in product diversification, including the development of light electric vehicles (LEVs) and battery-powered monorails, as well as structural changes to enhance efficiency.

The company's key markets, such as China and Poland, remain central to its strategy, with continued exploration of additional expansion opportunities. Longjiao Wang, CEO of SMT Scharf AG, stated, "With the Strategy 2026, we aim to better serve the demand for low-emission, high-quality transport solutions in underground mining and tunnel logistics. Our cooperation with two Chinese suppliers in LEVs strengthens our portfolio development, and the exclusive agreement with CFH Group for Kazakhstan and South Africa is a crucial step in expanding into relevant mining markets worldwide."

SMT Scharf Group develops, manufactures, and services transportation equipment for underground mining and tunnel construction, including captivated railway systems used globally in hard coal, gold, platinum, and other metal mines. These systems transport materials and personnel with payloads up to 48 tonnes on gradients up to 35 degrees. Since 2018, the portfolio has expanded to include rubber-tyred diesel and electric vehicles such as loaders, scissor lifts, and underground trucks. The company is also advancing battery-powered transport solutions. Operating subsidiaries in seven countries and agents worldwide, SMT Scharf continues to drive its growth strategy.
