SNAH Healthcare has announced the launch of a new partnership with the City of West Haven, Connecticut, to provide non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) and senior center shuttle services. The program, which began after a competitive bidding process, is designed to build a transportation model centered on trust, safety, and efficiency for government-funded services.
The service will offer daily shuttles to the West Haven Senior Center and designated grocery shopping locations, utilizing existing schedules for residents. SNAH Healthcare emphasizes its commitment to safety, integrity, transparency, and fraud prevention, which are critical for public sector partnerships.
All SNAH vehicles used for the West Haven program will be equipped with front and back-facing cameras to create a visual record of each trip, enhancing passenger and driver safety. Real-time GPS tracking will provide transparency, allowing the city to monitor compliance with routes, timeliness, and resource use. A key feature is door-to-door assistance for seniors with mobility challenges, provided by trained drivers who offer hands-on help from home to shuttle seat.
Fraud prevention is a major focus, as government agencies often cite fraud and misuse of NEMT funding as primary concerns. SNAH's operational model provides full visibility into every trip, reducing the risk of fraudulent billing or "ghost rides." Paulina Wierzbicka, President of SNAH Healthcare, stated, "Our technology and processes are intended to enhance municipalities' control and verification processes, and therefore, will not provide a 'black box' environment for our partners."
The partnership reflects SNAH's experience in managing publicly funded transportation and home-care programs. The company is pursuing additional bid opportunities nationwide, offering municipalities a secure and transparent partnership. For more information, visit SNAH's website.
