The innovations include the SSi Vimana Aero Drone System, the SSi Avtara Humanoid Surgical Platform, the SSi Operion Mobile Operating Room, and new single-arm robotic endoscopy and ultrasound assist carts. The SSi Vimana Aero is a surgical robotic system designed to deliver expert care to wounded soldiers on the battlefield. Deployed via a heavy-lift autonomous drone, it lands near the casualty and deploys two miniature robotic arms with seven degrees of freedom. A remote trauma surgeon operates the system using an SSi Mantra surgeon command center, performing procedures such as hemorrhaging control, wound repair, chest decompression, shrapnel extraction, and field suturing. This technology aims to stabilize patients during the critical window before medical evacuation.
Another concept, the SSi Avtara humanoid platform, leverages advanced mobility, dexterity, and perception for surgical applications in healthcare, defense, logistics, and disaster response. Integrated with AI and teleoperation, it is designed for trainability and precision, enabling interaction with existing infrastructure in hazardous or inaccessible environments. The SSi Operion, a fully mobile operating room ecosystem, features a wheeled chassis with overhead-integrated robotics and zero-footprint architecture, eliminating spatial constraints. With telesurgery capabilities, it can be deployed in hospitals, remote clinics, combat areas, or disaster zones, allowing expert surgeons to operate remotely.
The company also introduced single-arm robotic endoscopy and ultrasound assist carts, currently in early clinical validation in India. These carts provide stable positioning of instruments under clinician supervision, with controlled speed and force limits for safety. They are compatible with standard hospital infrastructure, facilitating seamless integration into existing workflows.
