STEICO SE Reports Mixed Half-Year Results Amid Cost Pressures and Geopolitical Tensions

STEICO SE (ISIN DE000A0LR936) released its Half-Year Report 2026 today, revealing a mixed performance as demand rebounded in the second quarter but cost pressures from geopolitical tensions weighed on margins. The company, a global market leader in wood fibre insulation materials, reported turnover of EUR 200.3 million for the first half of 2026, up 0.6% from EUR 199.1 million in the same period last year, driven by a strong construction season in Q2.

However, STEICO faced massive cost increases in the second quarter due to the US–Iran conflict and related supply chain disruptions. These cost pressures are expected to persist, with no signs of easing. While the company has implemented price increases to offset higher costs, these measures take effect with a time lag, significantly impacting margins. EBITDA for the first half fell to EUR 29.0 million, a decline of 22.1% from EUR 37.2 million a year earlier. EBIT dropped 30.8% to EUR 14.7 million from EUR 21.2 million, resulting in an EBIT margin of 7.5%.

Despite the challenges, STEICO’s Executive Board expects further growth in the second half of 2026 and anticipates improving profit margins. The company confirms its full-year 2026 forecast, projecting revenue growth between -2% and +4% compared to the previous year, corresponding to revenue of approximately EUR 375 million to EUR 398 million. EBIT is expected to range from EUR 30 million to EUR 38 million, implying an EBIT margin of 8.0% to 9.5%.
