While the nation often thanks officers for their service, the children who live with those sacrifices every day are too often overlooked.
"Law enforcement children carry a burden most people never think about," said a spokesperson for Stic-It. "They know what it feels like when a parent misses a school event because duty calls. They know what it means to go to bed while mom or dad is still out on the street protecting strangers. And they know the fear that can come with loving someone who puts on a badge every day. These children deserve to be recognized, supported, and reminded that their sacrifices matter too."
Law Enforcement Child Month was created to build awareness and support for the sons and daughters of officers, inspired by the longstanding Month of the Military Child. The month-long observance seeks to highlight the realities of law enforcement service—from long absences and unpredictable schedules to public scrutiny and daily risks.
Stic-It supports the initiative because visible acts of solidarity can send a powerful message to law enforcement families. "We talk a lot about backing the blue, but real support should include the families standing behind that uniform. For a child of a police officer, seeing people publicly acknowledge their family's sacrifice can mean something. It says, 'We haven't forgotten you. We know your family serves too.' That matters," the spokesperson added.
Throughout July, Stic-It is encouraging law enforcement supporters, police families, community organizations, and local residents to display a Stic-It Rotating Car Flag as a visible sign of appreciation for law enforcement children and the families who stand behind officers every day.
The company says the goal is not simply to promote a product, but to help turn Law Enforcement Child Month into a national moment of recognition for the children behind the badge—children who often grow up with resilience, pride, uncertainty, and sacrifice woven into daily life. "These kids did not choose the badge, but they live with everything that comes with it.
