The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill, a leading Mediterranean fast casual restaurant franchise, has announced GiftAMeal as its national philanthropic partner, expanding a pilot program that started in July 2024 with 10 locations. The program is now available in over 70 locations across the United States, excluding cloud kitchens, food trucks, and several locations in the Las Vegas Valley.
GiftAMeal is a community engagement platform that allows restaurant guests to take a photo of their food or drink through the GiftAMeal platform, triggering a donation to a local food bank. Since partnering in 2024, guests of The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill have helped provide more than 20,000 meals to families facing food insecurity. Each photo taken results in a donation of 1.2 pounds of groceries through a network of neighborhood pantries.

This Random Acts of Kindness Day, February 17, and throughout the month, The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill is inviting guests to participate. At the end of the month, the company will match the monetary value of the total number of meals, as established by each food bank, to contribute the same number of meals donated.
Participating is simple: guests scan the GiftAMeal QR code posted inside the restaurant, take a photo of their food or drink to trigger an automatic donation to a local food bank, and can share on social media to multiply the impact—shares can double, triple, or even quadruple donations.
