Top motivational speaker and bestselling author Rocky Romanella sees the value of AI, but recognizes that while AI can produce, it cannot lead. He believes the future still belongs to leaders who lead with humanity. And it is exactly the kind of leadership the AI era demands," he said.
With over four decades of experience from clipboards to AI, Romanella notes, "Technology may change the work, but leadership must still lift the people." He warns that a generation entering the workforce is waiting for AI to define them, stuck between what AI is and isn't. Leaders must have the courage to bring heart and soul back into the conversation.
AI can analyze data but cannot create meaning, generate options but not belief, automate tasks but not build trust. "It could not have inspired the 1980 U.S. Olympic hockey team to the Miracle on Ice," Romanella points out. "AI can accelerate the work but only leaders can advance their people."
In the keynote, Romanella introduces three questions every leader must master: What is the issue or opportunity? How do I get my team aligned and committed? How do I turn intent into business results? These form the backbone of strategic leadership in the AI era.
