Cyndie Shaffstall, co-founder and COO of Trust Moments, is developing her 21st book, provisionally titled 100 Leadership Perspectives on AI in Real Estate, which aims to chronicle the growing role of artificial intelligence in the real estate industry. The project, set for publication after the NAR NXT conference, will feature interviews with dozens of industry leaders to create a snapshot of AI development as it transforms real estate.
Trust Moments has already contacted more than 200 industry leaders and will continue leadership interviews at NAR NXT from November 6 to 8 in New Orleans. The interviews are intended to explore and celebrate the growing role of AI in the real estate industry, capturing where AI is now, where people want it to develop, and how it can improve workflows. Shaffstall's most recent ebook, Case study: How we built an AI-powered relationship and referral engine (and the things I wish I knew then), published in October, examined the experiments and missteps of a small team without a traditional engineering background as they used AI to develop a real estate relationship and referral engine.
"We are so energized by the way professionals in the real estate field are innovating the use of AI around their own workflows, creating solutions that empower humans," Shaffstall said. "We are reaching out to leaders all over the industry to create a comprehensive picture of where AI is now, where people want it to develop, and how it can make our work better than ever."
The announcement matters because it signals a broader effort to document and shape the narrative around AI adoption in real estate at a time when the industry is grappling with how to integrate the technology responsibly. By gathering perspectives from leaders across the field, the project could provide valuable insights into best practices, challenges, and opportunities, helping professionals navigate the AI revolution. Shaffstall emphasized that AI is not meant to replace human cognition but to empower people. "AI isn't here to replace human cognition – it's meant to empower people, and we're excited to hear how industry leaders are putting it to work," she said.
Shaffstall and the founding team will be onsite at NAR NXT to conduct interviews and capture more industry perspectives. "To industry leaders attending NAR NXT, please stop by and share your successes and experiences with AI – together we make a stronger, more tech-forward industry," she added.
Trust Moments is a privacy-first, AI-assisted relationship and referral platform that offers a new level of buyer information, helping agents surface useful behavioral data that can paint a more complete picture of the homes buyers dream of and how to match the right buyer with the perfect home. The company's focus on privacy and human empowerment aligns with the themes expected to emerge from the interviews, highlighting a vision of AI that supports rather than supplants real estate professionals.
