UMT AG to Rename as WAYDEAR AG, Cementing Agentic AI Focus

UMT United Mobility Technology AG has announced an extraordinary general meeting for 21 October 2026, where shareholders will vote on changing the company's name to WAYDEAR AG. The move, first reported by NewMediaWire, marks the final step in UMT's transformation from a mobility technology firm to a provider of agent-based AI solutions. The name change reflects a business model that has already been fully implemented operationally, with two product lines on the market and initial reference customers secured.

The previous name, United Mobility Technology, dates back to an earlier era and no longer aligns with the company's current activities. UMT now develops and markets Agentic AI that automates document-intensive and regulation-driven business processes for small and medium-sized enterprises. Its two product lines are the Catchflow Agent for EU import processes (CATCH/TRACES) and UMS Vision AI for transport and logistics companies. In June, the company signed NORDFROST, the German market leader in frozen food logistics, as a reference customer for CATCH automation, along with EYE Logistics for UMS Vision AI. Additional customers have since been added.

The rebranding is more than a cosmetic change; it is intended to make the company's value proposition immediately clear to customers, partners, and investors. WAYDEAR combines 'Way'—suggesting path, process, and direction—with 'dear' in the sense of valuable. The company automates processes that are business-critical for its customers. CEO Erik Nagel stated, "The reorganisation of UMT AG is complete. The products are on the market, we have secured our first reference customers, and the sales organisation is in place. The company name was the last element that still dated from a different era. With WAYDEAR, we will henceforth operate under a name that says exactly what we do."

Financially, the company's guidance remains unchanged. It expects break-even on a monthly EBITDA basis by the end of 2026 and revenue of between 1.2 and 1.5 million euros in the 2027 financial year, with a revenue margin of 60 to 70 per cent. That margin refers to gross profit margin: revenue less variable sales commissions and other directly attributable service costs, expressed as a proportion of revenue. The name change will take effect upon entry in the Commercial Register. Importantly for shareholders, the ISIN (DE000A40ZVU2) and WKN (A40ZVU) will remain unchanged, and the shares will trade under the new name after registration. A new ticker symbol will be applied for and announced separately. Shareholders do not need to take any action.

The name change matters because it signals that UMT's pivot is not merely a strategic aspiration but a completed operational reality. By aligning its brand with its actual business, the company aims to reduce confusion in the marketplace and attract investors who are specifically interested in Agentic AI. The successful acquisition of reference customers like NORDFROST provides early validation of its technology in demanding, regulation-heavy sectors. With the rebranding, UMT hopes to sharpen its identity as a pure-play AI automation provider, potentially improving its visibility and credibility as it pursues growth in the SME market.
