Viromed Medical AG Advances Product Development and Confirms Full-Year Guidance for 2026

Viromed Medical AG, a medical technology company specializing in cold plasma technology, published its half-year report for 2026, revealing significant progress in product development and market launch, and confirming its full-year guidance. The company, listed on the stock exchange since October 2022, reported consolidated revenue of EUR 2.5 million for the first half of 2026, a slight increase from EUR 2.4 million in the prior-year period. Despite a net loss of EUR 1.1 million, up from EUR 0.8 million in H1 2025, equity rose 43.9% to EUR 9.5 million, boosting the equity ratio to 67.6% from 39.9% a year earlier.

These developments matter because they underscore Viromed's ability to advance its pipeline while maintaining financial stability. The company completed the conformity assessment procedure for ViroCAP med as a Class IIa medical device under the EU Medical Device Regulation, receiving official approval in early July 2026. This certification allows sales of ViroCAP med to commence, a critical step toward generating revenue from the product. Additionally, Viromed started OEM production of ViroCAP for HELLMUT RUCK GmbH and secured an exclusive sales partnership with NEBU-TEC for veterinary applications of PulmoPlas, expanding its market reach beyond human medicine.

CEO Uwe Perbandt emphasized the importance of these milestones: “We successfully continued developing our products in the first half of the year while also making important progress in preclinical research. The planned publication of the study results in a renowned scientific journal will further strengthen the scientific evidence supporting our cold plasma technology.” This scientific validation is expected to enhance the company's credibility and support future commercialization efforts.

Viromed also received a research allowance of EUR 550,000 for cold plasma technology projects, reflecting external recognition of its innovation. The company financed its operations primarily through a EUR 2.7 million loan from Perbamed Invest GmbH, which was reviewed and approved by the supervisory board and tax advisor. For the full year 2026, Viromed expects a significant increase in consolidated revenue and net income, confirming the guidance adjusted on May 8, 2026.

The half-year financial statements are available on the Viromed Medical AG website, providing transparency for investors. More details can be found at www.viromed-medical-ag.de. The company's strategic focus on cold plasma technology positions it to capitalize on growing demand for innovative medical solutions, with the planned acquisition of relyon plasma GmbH further strengthening its portfolio. As Viromed moves toward market launch and sales ramp-up, its progress will be closely watched by investors and industry peers alike.
