Western Star Resources Appoints Goldman Sachs Alum to Board, Launches Investor Awareness Campaign

Western Star Resources Inc. (CSE: WSR) (OTC: WSRIF) (FRA: 4K2) announced on September 11, 2026, the appointment of Garland Scott to its board of directors. Scott brings 26 years of experience in financial services, business development, and strategic consulting, having previously held senior roles at Bank of America and Goldman Sachs, where he worked with financial advisors and high-net-worth clients and delivered institutional investment solutions. He later served as Business Development and Consultant Director at SEM Wealth Management and as Chief Growth Officer of On3 Strategies. Scott holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) designation and earned degrees in Psychology and Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

"We are thrilled to welcome Mr. Scott to the Board," said CEO Blake Morgan. "His background at leading firms such as Goldman Sachs will be instrumental in helping Western Star take that next step forward." Morgan also noted that the company will have updates regarding assays on the Rowland, White Star, and Eagle Point properties very soon.

In a separate but related move, Western Star entered into an Investor Awareness Agreement with Market Equities Limited (MEL) dated September 11, 2026. Under the agreement, MEL will provide branding services, communications, advisory, and general consulting. Specific services include SEO, digital media campaigns for branding, media consulting, general business development, multimedia services, and project management. MEL will also write and distribute weekly ticker tag articles highlighting the company in sector-based analysis, as well as news-based tags when the company has a new event. The fee is $100,000 USD for a two-month term, subject to acceptance by the Canadian Securities Exchange. The agreement may be renewed at the end of the initial term. MEL and the company are not related parties and operate at arm's length, with neither MEL nor its principals having any interest in the company's securities.

The dual announcements signal Western Star's intent to strengthen both its strategic leadership and its market presence. The addition of a board member with deep institutional finance experience could enhance the company's ability to access capital and build credibility with investors. Meanwhile, the investor awareness campaign aims to increase visibility and engagement within the investment community, potentially improving liquidity and shareholder base.

Western Star Resources is an emerging junior mineral exploration company focused on revitalizing North America's tungsten supply. The company is advancing its entry into the U.S. market through past-producing tungsten assets in historically important mining districts and is positioning itself to participate in the growing need for secure domestic critical mineral supply.
