Woodbridge Pacific Group Earns Seven SoCal MAME Nominations for Desert Home Designs

Woodbridge Pacific Group has received seven nominations in the 2026 SoCal MAME Awards, a prominent competition recognizing achievements in residential design, planning and development. The nominations honor three model homes in California’s desert communities: Plans Two and Four at Solace in Miralon, and the Daybreak design at Cotino, a Storyliving by Disney community in Rancho Mirage. The recognition matters because it validates the builder’s design approach at a time when desert markets are attracting move-up and empty-nester buyers who prioritize thoughtful architecture and livable interiors.

The So Cal MAME judges nominated Plans Two and Four at Solace for Architectural Design and named Solace as an Architectural Series. The Daybreak design at Cotino also earned a nomination for Architectural Design. All three designs were additionally honored for Interior Merchandising of the model homes. Each is now eligible for the Home of the Year designation, which will be announced at the November 14 awards ceremonies at the Westin Resort in Anaheim. The breadth of nominations—spanning architecture and interior merchandising—signals that the homes are being recognized as complete design packages rather than isolated achievements.

Hannouche Architects of Newport Beach served as the architectural firm for all nominated homes, while Chameleon Design of Costa Mesa created each model home’s interior merchandising. Their involvement highlights the collaborative nature of the projects and the importance of partnerships in delivering award-caliber homes. Lisa Parrish, Judging Chair for the So Cal MAME Awards, said, “WPG and its team have earned a fine reputation for notable attention to detail, and these superb desert homes show us why this design/development team is so celebrated.” Such peer recognition can influence buyer perception and reinforce a builder’s brand in competitive markets.

WPG President Andrew Murphy said, “We are delighted with these nominations and delighted that Hannouche and Chameleon are an important part of these prestigious honors. All of us strive to create new homes with persuasive, versatile designs, and to place these homes in locations that enrich the desert lifestyle for a wide variety of move-up and empty nester shoppers.” The nominations therefore do more than spotlight individual plans; they support WPG’s strategy of pairing design with desirable desert locations to attract a broad range of buyers.

The So Cal MAME Awards welcomes entries in roughly 30 categories and celebrates the achievements of design, planning and development companies and individual professionals. For WPG, the seven nominations represent an opportunity to distinguish its desert collections in a crowded marketplace and to build momentum ahead of the November ceremonies. Murphy added, “Solace and Daybreak epitomize the excellence our shoppers expect from WPG neighborhoods. We are proud to see these desert homes take their place among our winning collections.” Woodbridge Pacific Group is a privately held developer and homebuilder with a track record of design and planning awards, and its expansion in California and Idaho is supported by land acquisition and asset management capabilities.
